Iftar treat, BND10,000 donation for SMARTER Brunei

Dr Murali Rao and spouse Dr Sumaya Rao hosted the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei members to an iftar at Radisson Hotel in the capital yesterday.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was the guest of honour.

Indian High Commissioner-designate to Brunei Darussalam Alok Amitabh Dimri was the special guest.

Dr Rao said having the ability to improve the lives of others is a privilege and it comes with a sense of obligation.

Dr Rao and family also donated BND10,000 to SMARTER Brunei during the event yesterday.

Permanent Secretary (Community and Culture) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Acting Director of Social Services Hajah Norida binti Haji Abdul Hamid and Acting Head of Persons with Different Abilities at the Community Development Department (JAPEM) Dayangku Dewi Kartika Putri binti Pengiran Shahminan were also present, along with SMARTER Brunei President Pengiran Zamri bin Pengiran Haji Bujang, SMARTER Brunei CEO and Vice President Sharifah Adila Surya binti Malai Haji Abdullah, SMARTER Brunei executive members and Board of Directors as well as employees of Premier Dental Group.
