13 Apr Iftar treat and donations for Pusat Ehsan
Members of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam were treated to an iftar hosted by Premier Dental Group’s Dental Surgeon and Practise Manager Dr Murali Rao and spouse Dr Sumaya Rao at the Radisson Hotel yesterday.
Dr Murali Rao in his speech emphasised the significance of fasting in fostering self-discipline, sacrifice and compassion for humanity.
He stressed on the importance of reaching out to the needy, especially in the holy month of Ramadhan, highlighting the impact of charity on both the recipients and the donors.
Meanwhile, Pusat Eshan Senior Trustee Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Alimin bin Haji Abd Wahab thanked Dr Rao and his spouse for the BND10,000 donation to Pusat Ehsan.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad; and their spouses were the guests of honours.The ministers along with Dr Rao and his spouse presented donations to 15 members of Pusat Ehsan.
The donation was part of their personal and annual contribution for the welfare and well-being of the community in the month of Ramadhan. – Rokiah Mahmud
